His passion for music could be felt in his childhood when he was only seven years of age. Sayyam started learning songs on a Keyboard but found his love for guitar when he was in 9th grade. He formed his first band named “Rock r Us” and met Mohsin who came out to be his neighbor in the same neighborhood. Luckily the neighborhood produced many well-known musicians in Pakistan.

Sayyam’s musical influences were bands such as Bon Jovi, Scorpions, Europe, Firehouse, Dream Theater, and Megadeth. Throughout his musical journey, he kept improving his listening and likes. 

After graduation, he started his career as a Corporate Senior Human Resource Manager while keeping his passion for music parallel to his journey.

Sayyam & Mohsin were the founding members of “Aasaar”. Followed up ahead to become “Guru” and rolled on to this journey of multi-genre music. His contribution to the band includes tracks such as Dastaan, Jagi Hue Ankhon Mei, Nazar (Tribute to Vital Signs) & Intezaar. He has released some good solo songs and instrumentals such as Andaaz, Destination Dust, November Love, and Every Moment.

Sayyam Rana has done some finest album sessions with well-known artists such as Kamijee for his album Jeevan and Ali Mustafa, music composer & producer.
